Your files stay on your device. That's the whole idea.
69 everyday file tools — PDF, images, video, sound, text — that run entirely inside your browser. Nothing gets uploaded, because there's no server here waiting to receive it.

No analytics, no cookies, not even fonts borrowed from another company. Every file this site needs ships with it.

Why this exists
Because the alternative is strange when you say it out loud.
Most file tools ask you to send your documents to a server, then quietly imply you should trust them. Tax returns, medical letters, signed contracts — off they go, into a queue you'll never see. Here they stay in the room.
"Free" on those sites usually means watermarks, 2-file limits or a paywall that appears precisely when the deadline does. This is free properly — no prize, no card, no trap. If it saves you an afternoon, that's the payment.
Browsers got absurdly capable — they can render PDFs, decode video, read photos and crunch image data at speed. That capability runs on hardware you already own. This site just points it at problems.
Your browser reads the file directly from your disk — the same machinery that displays images and plays video already knows how to decode them. The tools take that data, transform it in memory, and hand you a fresh file to save. Nothing crosses the network on the way. The long answer is on the about page, and it's genuinely short.
Quick answers
Is it really free? What's the catch?
Really free, no catch that applies to you. There's no account to sell, no file to mine and no server bill to cover, because nothing runs on a server. Zero. That's not worth acquiring.
Do you keep my files?
There is nowhere to keep them. No upload happens at any point — when you close the tab, the file is gone from the page's memory and exists only where you saved it. The privacy page explains it with the same lack of drama.
Why is it slower than the sites that upload?
Because a server farm is a very fast computer and yours is one computer. For heavy video jobs that difference shows; for everything else — and everything is most things — it doesn't. The trade buys you privacy and a tool that can't go down.
