How it works

  1. Drop a square-ish image

At least 512×512 is ideal. Non-square images are centred and fitted.

  2. Preview the sizes

See exactly how 16×16 in a browser tab will look — the honest test.

  3. Download everything

favicon.ico with every useful size packed inside, the PNG set, and a snippet for your <head>.

Questions people actually ask

What sizes go inside the .ico?

16, 32 and 48 pixels — the set browsers actually use. The PNG set adds 180 (Apple) and 192/512 (Android) for completeness.

Where do I put these files?

Site root, next to index.html, then paste the snippet into your <head>. That's the whole ritual.
