Questions people actually ask

Can I fade in or out?

Not built in — trimming is a clean cut by design. A DAW or Audacity will do fades better than a checkbox here ever would.

Does trimming an MP3 re-compress it?

Only the cut edges are re-encoded, the frames between are copied. In practice: inaudible.
